Chelsea Garvin — AGPCNP-BC
Chelsea Garvin is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for enhancing the quality of life for her patients. Born and raised in Southern California, Chelsea earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from California State University, Los Angeles, followed by a graduate degree from the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Specializing in geriatrics, she has a wealth of experience providing primary care through house calls, ensuring that her patients receive personalized and compassionate care in the comfort of their homes.
In 2023, seeking a better quality of life, Chelsea, along with her husband and their beloved dogs, relocated to Eastern Tennessee. This move was not only a personal journey, but also a professional one, inspired by her grandmother, Arlene “Lenie” Hoppe, who was also a nurse. Lenie, a lover of the classic 1965 film “The Sound of Music,” embodied the spirit of resilience and determination, much like the Edelweiss flowers that thrive in harsh mountain environments. Chelsea carries forward this legacy of strength, having witnessed her grandmother's courage while battling metastatic breast cancer.

Motivated by this profound familial inspiration, Chelsea established Edelweiss Housecalls to serve the residents of Appalachia. Her commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare reflects the same self-determination that defined her grandmother’s life. Through her work, Chelsea aims to honor Lenie’s memory by making a positive impact on the community she has come to love and now calls home.
